Cozy Cows Privacy Policy

Effective date: 14 October 2026 Applies to Cozy Cows - Tiny Browser Companions, version 1.0.0.

Purpose

Cozy Cows displays animated cow companions on supported webpages. Its local processing is used only for the cows, their interactions and the user's settings.

What the extension processes locally

The extension temporarily uses the on-screen positions and sizes of selected webpage elements, such as headings, images and buttons, to find walking ledges. It also temporarily uses pointer coordinates and scroll/resize events to let cows react, and clicks, drags and Enter/Space presses directed at a focused cow for interaction. This information stays in memory on the device. It is not transmitted or saved as an activity log.

What is saved

The extension saves the following preferences in Chrome's local extension storage: whether cows are enabled, herd size, cow size, whether page ledges are enabled, and whether clicks pass through cows. Preferences remain until changed, cleared, or the extension is uninstalled. They are not synced by the extension to an external service.

What is not accessed or collected

Cozy Cows does not read or record page text, form values, passwords, cookies, account details, browsing-history records, visited URLs or page titles. It does not log general keystrokes. It does not access or upload the image, audio or video contents of page elements. It reads element layout positions rather than their semantic content.

Transmission, sharing and monetisation

Cozy Cows makes no network requests and does not transmit, sell, share or transfer user information. There are no advertisements, analytics, tracking identifiers, accounts or third-party services. All extension code and artwork are bundled locally.

Your controls

You can pause the herd, change preferences, turn off page ledges, or enable click-through in the toolbar popup. Chrome's site-access controls can restrict the sites on which the extension runs. Uninstalling the extension removes its local extension storage. Temporary layout and pointer information is discarded as the page or extension context closes; no such log is kept.

Chrome and the Web Store

Chrome itself and the Chrome Web Store operate under Google's separate policies. This policy describes the extension's own processing.

Changes and contact

If the extension's handling of information changes, its policy and relevant disclosures will be updated. For questions, use the developer contact or support information shown on the Cozy Cows Chrome Web Store listing.
